Continue Learning and Stay Eligible for the Hackathon – Here’s How!

We’ve heard your feedback about the first requirement of the hackathon: completing the GitHub Universe Learning Challenge. Some of you have expressed a desire to continue learning while remaining eligible to submit to the hackathon. We’ve listened, and we're excited to offer a solution!

If you'd like to continue learning, you can still complete the learning modules to remain eligible for participation and project submission. However, to be eligible for prizes, you must complete all of the learning modules.

How will this work?

  • Visit the learning challenge page here: GitHub Universe Learning Challenge and click "Start Learning" to complete the modules.

  • After completing the modules, please attach a screenshot showing your completion on the Devpost submission form. This can be either a screenshot of the completion screen or an email confirmation, as long as your name is visible.

    • Note that completion of the modules does mean that you will not appear on the leaderboard.
  • Important: At least one team member must have completed the learning modules for your hackathon submission to be eligible.

What if I’ve already completed the challenge?

If you completed the learning challenge before 12/17 and are submitting to the hackathon, you don’t need to provide additional proof. We’ll verify your completion based on your Microsoft Learn username.
